Presenting
  1. Using PowerPoint to deliver presentation to students.
  2. Utilize examples, photos, and videos (YouTube) the Microsoft Presenter.
  3. Upload resources through a blog so parents and students can access them.
  4. Use an online photo album such as Shutterfly to compile a album of different types of rocks that are easily recognizable. 
  5. Model concept through an online video game that the respective educator developed themselves with sites like Gamefroot.
Assessing
  1. Kahoot!
  2. Quizlet
  3. Discussion boards posted in an online community like blogger, blackboard or moodle.
  4. Creating a song and recording it on Garage Band.
  5. Construct a website that allows students to manage their own tab to post their own information and resources for the topic.
Engaging
  1. Use WebQuest.
  2. Create a digital scrapbook of student artwork or projects and post them to a private scrapbook that parents can look at.
  3. Ask students to bring in photos they or their parents have taken with monuments, sand at beaches or lakes, or other types of rocks. Then have them share with the class.
  4. Have students create a podcast about their birthstone.
  5. Create a social media account to let students post ideas about the topic, share resources, and create a how-to on identifying different types of rocks.
